I know I advertised NYC Bed and Breakfast but after looking into them and there locations. I only found one that I loved. It of course was booked until May. So here is what I have:

The Location is now The Milford Plaza Hotel. I booked a suite. The Hotel is on the older side so it gives it a unique charm. The windows and view are great.. I am going to bring alot of thinks with me too. (ie, Fur carpets and furry blankets) Here is the website: http://www.milfordplaza.com/
I have personally stayed here before and choose it for this session because of the location and windows.

The Dates are still Saturday 3/28 and Sunday 3/29

How was your Valentines Day?

Hi everyone! Its Monday and I am sure some of you are off from work today relaxing but for those of you who are bored at work please share your Valentines Day Romance Story.

This is mine

On Thursday of last week I didn't have any plans. I just knew we were going to dinner somewhere. So, Thursday evening I was out with my girlfriend who happens to work at the Hartford Hilton and I was saying I didn't have any plans and she said why don't you stay at the Hilton. I took her up on the offer and so the planning began Friday morning. Yes, the day before Valentine's Day. I guess I should inform you all that as I am a hopeless Romantic my husband is not! I usually plan all the Romantic dates.

Back to Friday morning, well actually 3:00 on Friday afternoon, I started to call area restaurants and to my surprise they were all booked. Who would know that I would have to make reservations at least 2 weeks in advance. (Sarcastically said). Needless to say I did not have a reservation for anywhere.

Now on to actual Valentines Day, my husband and I checked in to our hotel at about 6:30 and I got a text for my girlfriend who helped me with the room and she was out with her hubby. I asked if she wanted to meet for a drink. So we all decided to meet for a drink at Trumbull Kitchen. My hubby and I headed over to Trumbull Kitchen, we thought we would see if there was a possibility to get a seat for dinner after our drinks. NO Chance of that! We were then standing by the bar waiting for a seat to open at the bar. But here is the kicker, there were all these seats open by the bar. I have never been to the Trumbull Kitchen so I did no know that was bar seating. I asked someone if we need a reservation for the tables near the bar. They said no, so we sat there and our friends showed up and sat with us. We preceded on with the evening having great drinks and apps. While we were sitting there, we watched couples pour in for their reservations. Guess what they waited over an hour even with reservations. They all looked miserable! Talk about a romance killer standing in the foyer to the restaurant waiting an hour for a table. So we stayed there a while and then went to an Irish Pub and continued having a great time.

Finally, we made it back to our room, where we hung our do not disturb sign! This is where the story ends. And the moral is you can have a better time just winging it!

If you have time please post your story in the comments section. This will be the topic for the week and for those of you who like JCREW I got this email this morning to enter to win a free honeymoon in Greece

New for 2009

So, you ask whats with the fancy new name? I am reinventing my boudoir business for 2009. After 2 years of running my business under the Jewel Photography name I have decided to separate the Boudoir business from the rest. Bijou is the french word for Jewel so I thought it was appropriate for this new business.
Now on to whats exciting about this blog. I will be posting photos of ladies who will allow me. Second, this is a great place to share information from the ladies who have come for a session and ladies who would like to share how you surprised your guys with your photos and his reaction. Last, I am always available to answer any questions, I will checking the blog daily and hosting discussions on what to wear and where to buy it. Boudoir sessions are alot of fun and I want to help you to be excited about it and not so nervous.
On to the business side of things.
So here's the new a la cart pricing for 2009
The Session is $250.00
Includes 90 minute photo session at my studio
30 4x6 prints
High Resolution CD
The Album $150.00
8x8 black suede 25 page magazine style
Hair & Makeup (includes fake lashes) $100.00
My studio is conveniently located inside a Day Spa
Top Five Questions:
1. How far in advance do I have to book?
You should book at least 6 weeks before the photos are need. I have a studio so unlike other photographers who offer sessions on certain days, I am available 7 days a week. I do marathon sessions upon request.
2. I don't know how to pose, do you have suggestions and poses? No need to worry I will tell you what to do, if you have some photos you have seen and you like bring them.
3. What do you have at your studio? I have black and white backdrops, many different fur blankets, carpets and fabrics, a Victorian bench setting, a red velvet curtain with a zebra striped bench, other Victorian style benches and stools, pillows, hats, boas and pearls (and the list goes on). I use different lighting effects and many different angles. Honestly you can come with a pair of white and black lace panties and leave with over a 100 different photos. I am always adding to the collection.
4. Do you show my photos to anyone?
Absolutely not! I only show photos of women who give me permission.
5. What should I bring?
Everything! lingerie, shoes, jewels, guys favorite shirt or prop. Bring the house you never know what you may want when you are in the session.
One last thing, I want to thank all of the ladies who have been spreading the word. I really appreciate it. You ladies have been great!

Great News for You!
